His vision has enabled his companies to lead, rather than follow, trends and pioneer new ways of working with clients
Julie has been with Business Travel Direct since 1994, initially as a consultant, and then as an employee. Julie has a wealth of experience in all areas of travel management and represents Business Travel Direct on many industry boards. Her strategic vision has enable Business Travel Direct to utilise global partnerships and implement industry-leading technology
Director of Client Partnerships
Vanessa has over 25 years of experience within the travel industry, of which more than 10 years have been spent dealing with a range of clients at Business Travel Direct. Vanessa manages a portfolio of organisations and is constantly striving to help them make the most of their travel solution and budget, regularly arranging technology demonstrations and organising travel road shows for her clients.

Mark has an exceptional record of achievements in both service-oriented business, and the travel and leisure industry, and heads up Ickenham Travel Group’s finance division. Acting as a Board Director, he leads the strategic development of the company with a focus on growth both organically and via strategic acquisition.
Andy holds over 25 years of experience within the travel industry. He is responsible for overseeing our client services teams in our Oxford and Uxbridge offices, ensuring that our clients receive the best customer service.
Marketing & Partnership Director
Adrian has over 30 years of experience within the travel industry and recently joined Business Travel Direct following our acquisition of Amity World Travel. Adrian looks forward to nurturing our brand identity and values to strengthen our winning relationships with both industry and client partners.
Director of Meetings and Events
Helen is our longest serving employee and is currently responsible for the smooth running of SMART Venues and Events. Helen helped to develop Business Travel Direct from the back office of a high street branch to the strong, multi-million pound business it is today. Her expertise in the field of corporate meetings and event organisation has allowed SMART Venues and Events to flourish and become a successful, creative department.
Nicola has been with the Ickenham Travel Group since 1993, working with Business Travel Direct since July 2006. As a senior consultant, Nicola looks after the travel arrangements of some of our most well-known clients, alongside her team, ensuring the delivery of the best customer service to their portfolio of clients.
Mark has over 27 years of experience within the travel industry, coordinating the activities of consultants in arranging optimal travel arrangements for a number of high profile accounts located in various industries. These have included Aerospace, IT, Banking, Media and Pharmaceutical Companies.
Julie has been in the travel industry for over 25years, of which the last 10 years have been working for Business Travel Direct. Julie manages a team of 11 reservation staff who look after a large portfolio of clients. The team thrive to maintain a high level of service, expertise and value for money for all their clients travel needs. Julie also attends customer review meetings with the client partnership team.
Accounts Receivable Manager
Hannan’s professional background over the past 18 years has always been within Office Management, with vast experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support to ensure operations and procedures are accomplished and run smoothly. Hannan’s role varies from a number of different responsibilities as the interface across 3 departments: Finance – Manage and oversee all Accounts Receivable functions, Client Services – Assist with Implementation, Client Partnership – Ensure client Accounts Team are satisfied with billing and efficiency.

Nikki, Leanne and Charlotte are responsible for ensuring our clients’ vision and implementation goes smoothly, acting as the first point of contact through the whole implementation cycle. Our product delivery team continue to remain heavily involved even after the implementation process, introducing our clients to new enhancements, potential new systems and the support of current online systems.

Richard heads our SMARTinsight department, providing our clients with data analysis and sophisticated management information. With over 40 years in the travel industry, Richard’s role is to interrogate travel data and confer with our client partnerships team to ensure our clients achieve substantial savings on their travel solution.
