Traveller security is one of the most important considerations for business travel, and we’re committed to helping you fulfil your Duty of Care requirements. That’s why we invest in powerful tracking software that allow us to communicate with your travellers, whereever they are in the world. We’re even able to track bookings made outside of our ecosystem, bringing unmanaged travel back into view for risk management and reporting.

Our tracking and risk management programmes are second to none, providing exceptional communication and risk assessment technology to ensure your travellers receive information and alerts via SMS or email whenever it’s needed. It delivers the right information to the right people at the right time.

Traveller Tracking

Assess, Locate, Communicate

Our traveller-tracking tool is powered by SAP Concur. Our global communications platform allows us to instantly send an SMS message, email or push alert from our office straight to your mobile phone. Using our direct international newsfeed from Risk Line, any bookings made through us; either through our consultants or through our booking tools; are automatically assessed against any potential danger nearby which could impact the health and safety of our travellers. We’ll send details of the potential risk, advice, an emergency number to call should you need alternative travel arranged; and then using a two-way communications system, we’ll wait for you reply.

We offer a number of services, entirely free of charge to our clients:

  • Risk Assessment and Duty of Care fulfilment
  • Travel disruption alerts such as flight cancellations
  • Policy compliance messages
  • Granular search options via flight number, hotel supplier, geographical risk level, political unrest, severe weather, health alerts, name, and company
  • Syncing every 20 minutes, our traveller’s trip itinerary is automatically updated onto the SMARTtrack system, giving us all the information we’d need to ensure they remain safe

Business Travel Direct is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our dedicated in-house Out of Hours service is operated by an experienced team of travel consultants who are equipped to handle any emergency travel requests outside of our normal office hours.

Whether you need to make amendments to your flight, or find emergency accommodation, our Out of Hours team are there to help.

To ensure you’re up to date on any travel disruptions that may affect your upcoming trip, we send out travel alerts via email. This can involve a wide range of travel topics, from health alerts to airport strikes and delays.
