Additional routes added to Southampton Airport
Flybe’s summer schedule has been enhanced with the addition of a new route. Customers are now able to fly from Southampton to Lyon between 23rd May 2016 – 29th October 2016, with flights leaving at 7am Monday to Saturday, or 10am on a Sunday.
BMI Regional have also added a direct flight from Southampton to Munich. The new route launches from Friday 15th April with 12 flights per week, operating double daily Monday – Friday and one flight per day on Saturdays and Sundays.
A new Salt Lake City Service
Delta Air Lines, in partnership with Virgin Atlantic, have added a new flight to their flight schedules. From 24 April 2016, Salt Lake City will be Delta’s eighth U.S. destination from Heathrow, and the only nonstop service between London and the Mountain West.
Holiday Inn “Open Lobby” Manchester
IHG’s Holiday Inn brand will bring its “Open Lobby” concept to Manchester this April.
Opening in the city’s Piccadilly area, the 298-room hotel is reflective of the city’s heritage by naming suites and function rooms after Manchester United and City football players as well as local musicians.
The hotel features Holiday Inn’s signature “Open Lobby” concept which combines a restaurant, Starbucks Café, business centre and lounge. Guests also have access to complimentary wifi throughout the hotel.
Virgin Atlantic & Flybe to Link smaller UK airports to U.S.
Virgin Atlantic and Flybe Group have announced a code-share agreement aimed at encouraging passengers from smaller UK and European cities to fly to the US and the Caribbean with Virgin. From 2 April, passengers will be able to book tickets through Virgin Atlantic to travel from 18 UK and European airports served by Flybe and connect onto their Virgin Atlantic flight at Manchester, Glasgow and London Gatwick airport.
Biritish Airways T5 lounge
British Airways (BA) has refurbished its main lounge for business travellers at its Terminal 5 home at Heathrow Airport. The extensive refresh includes new furniture, alongside multiple power points to allow passengers to charge their mobile devices.
This refurbishment comes shortly after BA unveiled their First Lounge at Heathrow, which offers pre-flight dining, work and entertainment zones, printers, faxers, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Business Travel Direct’s Product Delivery Manager is running a marathon!
On the 24th April our Product Delivery Manager, Charlotte Manthe, will be running 26.2 miles at the London Marathon. She is running to raise awareness for Cystic Fybrosis (CF), a cause very personal to her, and to raise money to help improve the lives of CF sufferers.
