British Airways announce changes to their Executive Club
There have been three big changes made to the British Airways’ Executive Club following traveller feedback.
From 14th June, all Gold, Silver and Bronze Executive Club members will be able to pre-reserve their seat even if they aren’t checking a bag into hold luggage. For anyone who has already paid for an allocated seat and flying either on or after 14th June, they could be eligible for a refund.
New parents are also offered benefits. Any Executive Club member who is due to take fewer or no flights during their maternity, paternity or adoption leave can suspend their account for a year, protecting their member status.
BA’s final change means members can collect Avios even when they’re firmly on the ground. UK Executive Club members can register their credit or debit card in eStore to collect Avios in-store from a number of retailers.

Ryanair and easyJet warn customers of immigration delays
Both Ryanair and easyJet have advised their customers to arrive earlier than usual before their flights at all airports.
Due to extended travel document checks by Border Control Authorities, there may be delays at Immigration Control. Therefore, the airlines have suggested arriving at least three hours before the scheduled departure time to ensure reaching the boarding gate with plenty of time to spare.
Business Travel Direct now using Concur Expense!
Business Travel Direct employees are now using Concur Expense to submit their expense claims. Whilst benefitting from improved expense claim processes, we are also able to understand more clearly the full Concur Travel and Expense solution, making us a very strong partner to Concur and our mutual clients.
Our Implementations Manager and Concur Expert, Charlotte Manthe, believes that combining Concur Travel and Expense gives our customers the complete package: “Increasing our knowledge on Expense will enable us to understand our clients’ requirements better and therefore run a more efficient implementation and support process.”
Managing Director, Julie Oliver, also sees the benefits of the tool and thinks it will enhance the company’s reputation as a business technology innovator: ” The addition of Concur Expense to our business will help the expense process run smoother and will also help us understand ‘The Customer Experience’ that many of our Concur clients experience every day. It’s yet another string to our bow.”
