Focus On… Alitalia
Alitalia is Italy’s largest air carrier flying their customers around the world in style. Being an Etihad Airways partner means that service and comfort are of the highest standard. Alitalia have also been awarded ‘Best Airline Cuisine’ by Global Traveller Magazine for the last seven years.
Magnifica: Long Haul gets a Makeover
Alitalia’s long haul flights have restored their Magnifica title, bringing all the benefits it previously had on board and on the ground with a modernised twist.
At the airport, travellers are provided with lounge access and SkyPriority to make check-in and boarding even smoother than before. If they travel regularly with Alitalia, they also receive triple frequent flyer miles and have a baggage allowance of 2x 32kg bags.
Travellers receive traditional Italian meals on board, as well as a multi-functional seat which reclines to lie flat. Each seat will also have an individual 15.4 inch TV screen with more than 100 movies available and on-board Wi-Fi.
Business Class and Alitalia BusinessConnect
On medium haul flights, travellers are given access to Alitalia lounges before departure and have dedicated check-in desks to make boarding simpler than ever. There’s more room and more space on-board with only four seats per row for extra comfort and a complimentary welcome drink is offered on all flights.
The more your company flies with Alitalia, the more your company earns with BusinessConnect. The miles can then be converted into discounts, award tickets and class upgrades.
It’s free to join the scheme. To find out how it works, see the BusinessConnect webpage.
Premium Economy Class
Premium Economy has been gaining in popularity over the last decade with business travellers and now Alitalia offers this class for their long haul flights.
Not only do passengers have up to 40% more leg room than Economy and a separate quiet cabin section with seats that recline, travellers also have dedicated check-in desks and priority boarding.
There is plenty of on-board entertainment including personal TV screens and wi-fi, a night kit including a blanket and pillow for comfort.
Connectivity is Key
Technology is constantly adapting and Alitalia is keeping up with the trends by helping travellers stay connected during their trips.
Passengers can make phone calls, send texts, post on social media and reply to work emails in-flight with Alitalia’s wi-fi. There are a number of packages to suit individual needs.

Get Comfortable before Departure with a Lounge Pass
If you’re looking for a place to work or relax in Italy before the next flight, why not book a lounge pass and rest in comfort?

Introducing Routes to Dehli and the Maldives
Alitalia have commenced flying to the Maldives. They fly three times a week via Rome.
