Business Travel Direct has received revised advice for travellers planning to travel to the EU and the possible implications of a possible no-deal Brexit.
Individuals planning to travel immediately after 29 March 2019 should check their passport validity to allow for renewal times if necessary. The UK government has recommended that travellers going to the EU after 29 March should have at least 6 months validity left on their passports and that extra months added to a 10 year passport should be disregarded in this calculation.
The Passport Office has released a passport checker tool that you can use to determine whether you should need to renew your passport.
Additional actions may be needed around other areas such as driving licences.
